Ladurée, the long-established Paris patisserie founded in 1862 and known as the maison where the macaron originated, is bringing its new "Café Ladurée" concept to Tokyo. The first Café Ladurée store in Tokyo, Café Ladurée Shin-Marunouchi Building store, opens in the Shin-Marunouchi Building on Monday, November 16, 2026.
Marunouchi is one of Japan's leading office districts, where many business people come and go. It is also an area where people gather to stroll around the Imperial Palace and along Marunouchi Naka-dori Street and to enjoy some downtime. The new store is designed to fit into everyday moments here, such as the commute, lunchtime, breaks between work and walks around the neighborhood. Visitors can enjoy macarons, Ladurée's quality baked sweets and viennoiserie more casually, along with a wide range of drinks centered on coffee.
Rather than being only a place for the special time spent at a salon de thé, the Shin-Marunouchi Building store is a new space that brings the esprit of Ladurée into daily life.
