Hoshinoya Fuji Launches Early Summer Forest Glamping Stay from May to July 2026

Hoshinoya Fuji, located in Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi Prefecture, is running the "Early Summer Forest Glamping Stay" from May 9 to July 27, 2026. Situated within Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park at an elevation of 840 to 940 meters, the resort presents a lineup of seasonal activities and dining options designed to let guests enjoy the lively early summer forest.

As summer approaches, the forest fills with a gradient of greens — the deep tones of conifers blending with the fresh yellow-green of young deciduous leaves. Thanks to the higher elevation, mornings and evenings are naturally cool, making it a comfortable setting for walks and time spent outdoors.

Forest Sweets Festa: Eight Fruits of Yamanashi

A variety of fruit-based sweets served at the Cloud Terrace

The "Forest Sweets Festa" is an afternoon gathering at the Cloud Terrace where guests can choose their own seat and enjoy sweets and drinks at their own pace. The menu features eight small sweets inspired by the "Koshu Hacchin-ka" — eight traditional fruits of Yamanashi cultivated since the Edo period — including a peach mousse and a grape butter sandwich. Refreshing cold-brew iced tea accompanies the tasting.

As the forest breeze picks up in the early evening, the Cloud Terrace hosts the "Sunset Beer Deck," where guests can settle into reclining chairs and enjoy a beer as the day winds down. The featured drink is a beer cocktail made with "Peach Ginger Syrup" — a combination of ripe peach and sharp ginger — pairing fruity sweetness with a refreshing kick.

The "Forest Coffee Shop" runs each morning during the program period, serving deep-roasted coffee brewed over a campfire alongside colorful light bites. Forest Postcard Making: Sketching the Early Summer Scenery
