Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo (Bunkyo, Tokyo) is rolling out a lineup of family-oriented learning and experience events during the summer holiday season, beginning July 21, 2026. The program includes the returning table manners class featuring a full French course, a traditional Edo wind chime painting workshop, and a bread and sweets making class—each offering a chance to enjoy authentic, hands-on experiences in the hotel's elegant setting.
French Course Table Manners Class

The "Family Table Manners Class" returns this summer, letting guests enjoy a full French course meal while learning proper dining etiquette. A hotel staff member certified by the Japan Hotel & Restaurant Service Skills Association guides participants through the correct handling of knives, forks, and napkins, along with graceful dining techniques.
New this year, elementary school students receive a dedicated worksheet covering the history of table manners and the meaning of different tableware—content structured so it can be submitted as a school summer project. The dessert course also features a tableside Crêpes Suzette flambé demonstration.

Edo Wind Chime Painting Workshop & Lunch Buffet

The "Wind Chime Painting Workshop" gives families the chance to learn glass-painting tips directly from a craftsperson at Shinohara Maruyoshi Furin—a wind chime maker carrying on traditions dating to the Edo period—and create their own one-of-a-kind Edo wind chime.
Participants paint freely with pigments to design their chime, which can be taken home to enjoy its summer sound. After the workshop, guests are invited to a Japanese and Western lunch buffet.
