Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo Offers Summer Stay Plans with Honeybee Honey Harvesting and Art Activity

Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, located in Bunkyo, Tokyo, is introducing two summer stay plans for families looking to combine learning and creativity during the school holidays.

Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo Summer Plans

Become a Honeybee Expert! Summer Science Study Stay

Starting August 2, 2026, the "Become a Honeybee Expert! Summer Science Study Stay" offers a hands-on urban beekeeping experience at the hotel. On the day of check-in, guests can visit the hotel's rooftop beehive and join a honey harvesting workshop. Sessions are led by Kazuhisa Nakamura of Merlow Surf Beekeeping — the specialist who manages the hotel's apiary — covering bee biology, how honey is produced, and the role of urban beekeeping.

During the workshop, participants can observe bees up close using an indoor observation hive, try extracting honey with a centrifugal separator, and taste the hotel's original honey "GARDEN HONEY." The experience provides a rare opportunity to connect with nature's rhythms right in the heart of the city.

Workshop Details:

  • Learn about honeybees: A beekeeper explains bee ecology, honey production, and the hotel's beekeeping efforts
  • Observe the hive: Outdoor observation of active beehives and close-up viewing using an indoor observation hive
  • Honey harvesting: Hands-on centrifugal honey extraction and fresh honey tasting

Dates: August 2 (Sun), 8 (Sat), 9 (Sun), and 11 (Tue), 2026 (limited capacity per day)

Room: Prime Superior City/Garden View (45㎡)

Price: From ¥74,700 per room for 2 adults and 1 child (tax and service charge included, accommodation tax separate)

Included:

  • Honey harvesting workshop (check-in day, 2:00 PM–4:00 PM)

Original Crepas Stay – Summer Edition

Starting July 1, 2026, the "Original Crepas Stay – Summer Edition" combines pool access with a set of hotel-original oil pastels. The hotel's original crepas come in 12 colors inspired by the garden's seasonal palette — the deep greens of summer, white clouds, and the insects that can be found throughout the grounds. After a day at the pool and strolling through the garden, families can sit together to draw picture diaries capturing their summer memories in color.

"Crepas" is a registered trademark of Sakura Color Products Corp. The common name for crepas is oil pastel.

Dates: July 1 (Wed) to September 30 (Wed), 2026

Executive Lounge "Le Ciel" – August Granité

Le Ciel Granité

To mark the lounge's second anniversary, the suite guest-exclusive executive lounge "Le Ciel" will offer a special granité — a French shaved ice dessert — throughout August 2026. Supervised by Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo's head chef, the granité is inspired by the hotel's signature "Tokyo Sea of Clouds" garden display, featuring blood orange jelly layered with granité for a refreshing summer taste.
