INTERGATE Hotels, operating in five cities across Japan — Kyoto, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kanazawa, and Osaka — regularly hosts the "INTERGATE Local Relation" event series for hotel guests, rotating monthly at each location, where visitors can enjoy local specialty items in the hotel's lounge.
For this edition, Hotel Intergate Kyoto Shijo Shinmachi has teamed up with miel mie, a long-established Kyoto honey specialty store, to bring guests a week centered around the world of honey. During Afternoon Service, the hotel will offer a rare "Kyoto Hyakkamitsu" (Kyoto wildflower honey) — a honey gathered from a wide variety of flowers across Kyoto Prefecture, prized for its complex, layered flavor and made scarce by the small number of beekeepers in the area. During the evening Happy Hour, guests can also try mead, a fermented honey wine known for its gentle sweetness and clean finish. On top of that, a one-day-only special event, "A Journey Through the World of Honey With miel mie's Honey Concierge," will be held on September 22 (Tuesday).
