From October 1 (Thu) to December 30 (Wed), 2026, the Sense Tea Corner on the 37th floor of Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo in Nihonbashi Muromachi hosts "Champagne Bar with Krug," a limited-time bar where guests can experience the world of the prestige champagne house Krug.

For the duration of the bar, the lounge is dressed in a special Krug-themed setting. The latest edition, Krug Grande Cuvée 174th Edition, is poured by the glass, and rare vintages that are seldom available are served together with carefully selected food pairings. The bar sits on the 37th floor, an out-of-the-ordinary setting for an elegant time.
The Latest Edition and a Rare Collection
Krug Grande Cuvée 174th Edition, the latest edition of Krug Grande Cuvée, offers concentration, complexity and a rich palate, and is available by the glass. Rare champagnes such as "Clos du Mesnil" and "Krug Clos d'Ambonnay" are also on the special lineup, so guests can enjoy a range of Krug's flavors.
Small Plates to Pair with the Champagne
Complementing the champagne are small plates created specially for this program. The menu includes a lobster roll, a Japanese beef fillet katsu sandwich with caviar and katsu sauce, truffle French fries and a selection of carefully chosen caviar. The dishes are designed to bring out the rich aroma and complex flavor of Krug.

About Krug Grande Cuvée 174th Edition

Krug Grande Cuvée 174th Edition embodies the dream of founder Joseph Krug to make the finest champagne every year, regardless of changes in the climate. The 2018 growing season had favorable weather and produced excellent grapes in perfect condition from all three varieties. The structure and texture of Pinot Noir, the elegance and vitality of Chardonnay and the strength and richness of Meunier are layered with reserve wines that add depth and complexity, creating a rich and full-bodied symphony characteristic of Krug.

- Blend: 143 wines from 10 different years (2001–2018)
- Composition: Pinot Noir 54%, Chardonnay 29%, Meunier 17%
- Reserve wine ratio: 36%
- Dosage: 5 g/L
- Color: Vivid gold
- Aroma: Toast and dried fruit, with smoky nuances and notes of mandarin and candied citrus
- Palate: Lively tangerine and citrus nuances fill the mouth, with notes of chocolate, beeswax and fruit confection. A harmonious, rich and full-bodied texture leads to an elegant, slightly bitter finish.
