The concept pairs the hotel's well-loved clay pot rice — a favorite since opening — with carefully selected ingredients from across Kyushu, inviting guests to assemble their own bowl at the table.
New Menu: Interactive "Ochazuke Bar"
Themed "A Cup Full of Kyushu's Bounty," the Ochazuke Bar features a generous lineup of toppings sourced primarily from Kyushu, letting guests combine them with freshly cooked clay pot rice to create their own personalized bowl.
Carefully Curated Toppings and Ingredients
Each ingredient is individually selected to enable a wide variety of flavor combinations.
Fukuoka Flavors: Classic mentaiko (spicy pollock roe) and karashi-takana (spicy mustard greens), along with umeboshi hijiki (pickled plum with seaweed) for extra texture.
Kyushu Regional Highlights: Toppings can also be arranged in the style of Kagoshima's keihan (a local chicken-and-rice soup dish).
Flavor Accents: Roughly shaved katsuobushi (bonito flakes) bring out a more pronounced aroma, complemented by other carefully chosen condiments.
Pairing with the Signature Clay Pot Rice
The base for every bowl is the hotel's signature clay pot rice, slow-cooked using the brand variety Milky Queen. Freshly made white rice drawn from the clay pot highlights the umami of the Kyushu toppings and dashi broth.
