IMMERSIVE JOURNEY Nagoya, a large-scale VR entertainment facility jointly operated by 株式会社名鉄インプレス (headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi) and 株式会社CinemaLeap (headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo), is expected to reach 100,000 cumulative visitors soon after opening on January 23, 2026. A third VR work, "The Secret of the Pyramid Builders," has also been confirmed for release this winter. Once it is available, visitors will be able to choose which of the three works to experience. Ahead of the new release, a limited-time discount on the two current works will also be offered.
New VR Work "The Secret of the Pyramid Builders" Coming This Winter
"The Secret of the Pyramid Builders" is an immersive experience that begins with an exploration of the inside of a pyramid and then travels back in time to ancient Egypt about 4,500 years ago. Visitors step into the construction site of the Great Pyramid of Giza, the largest construction project in history, and adventure across ancient Egypt, including a voyage along the Nile, ruins on the Red Sea coast, and the workers' living quarters.
The work was created in collaboration with leading researchers from around the world, and it recreates the once-mysterious world of that era based on the latest discoveries and research. Sakuji Yoshimura (吉村作治), a leading authority on ancient Egyptian studies in Japan, supervises the Japanese translation.
The voice cast includes Ai Fairouz (ファイルーズあい), Miyuki Sawashiro (沢城みゆき), and Masashi Ebara (江原正士), further deepening the sense of immersion in the story. The release date and ticket sales will be announced around November.
After the new work is released, the first work, "Horizon of Khufu" (a journey to ancient Egypt), and the second work, "Tonight with the Impressionists Paris 1874" (a night spent with Impressionist painters in Paris), will remain available.
