Imuraya Sweets Marché Russelia Multi-Brand Dessert Shop Opens in Tsu City, Mie Prefecture in February 2026

A new multi-brand sweets shop called "Imuraya Sweets Marché Russelia" will open in Tsu City, Mie Prefecture in early February 2026. The venue brings together three distinct dessert brands under one roof: "Anna Miller's," "La maison JOUVAUD" (a Provençal patisserie), and "Kashiho Imuraya" (traditional Japanese confectionery). Drawing on the unique strengths of American pies, Southern French Provençal sweets, and wagashi, the shop aims to offer visitors from both the local area and tourists alike a fresh and varied experience while contributing to the vibrancy of central Tsu City.

Purpose Behind the Opening

Imuraya Group was founded in 1896 in Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture as a confectionery shop. The company has expanded its wagashi-centered business by refining techniques for processing azuki beans, developing products such as boiled azuki, zenzai, oshiruko, and Azuki Bar ice cream. Meanwhile, Anna Miller's launched in Tokyo in 1973 as a restaurant brand and has operated continuously for roughly 50 years. In 2003, "La maison JOUVAUD," a patisserie originating from Provence in southern France, was introduced to Japan and now operates five locations across Tokyo, Nagoya, and Kyoto. "Kashiho Imuraya," which opened in 2021 within the VISON resort facility in Taki Town, Mie Prefecture, offers traditional and contemporary wagashi crafted with care.

This combined sweets shop—which gathers all three brands in one space—is designed to let visitors enjoy the distinctive character of each brand under a single roof. Through "the pleasure of choosing," "moments of relaxation," and "the joy of giving," the store aspires to deliver a diverse range of value.

As the flagship store of Imuraya Food Service Co., Ltd., which launched on October 1, 2025, the new venue will strengthen information dissemination efforts.

The Meaning Behind "Russelia"—A Name Signifying New Encounters

Store Logo

The name "Russelia" was chosen based on its flower language meaning "departure."

Cherishing the "new encounters" that lie ahead after departure, the name embodies the hope that sweets created here will connect people with one another and lead to new joys and happiness.

Through an array of sweets, the store aspires to create a space where customers can experience these "new encounters."

About the Distinctive Qualities of Each Brand

①Anna Miller's

Anna Miller's opened its first store in 1973 in Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo. It subsequently expanded throughout the Kanto region as part of Imuraya Group's restaurant and sweets business. The brand traces its origins to the simple, warm home cooking of the "Pennsylvania Dutch"—people living in Pennsylvania in the eastern United States. In Japan, it operated as a restaurant serving American food and homemade pies, but due to a relocation request stemming from Shinagawa Station redevelopment, the final domestic store in Takanawa closed on August 31, 2022. Currently, the brand sells pies and other items through its online shop while making occasional appearances at pop-up events.

Three years after the closure of the Takanawa store, Anna Miller's announced on June 20, 2025 that it would open a new location in Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo—the area where it first began. Preparations are underway to open the store within the current fiscal year.

②La maison JOUVAUD

Committed to delivering the honest, genuine flavors of its ingredients, La maison JOUVAUD is a historic patisserie and chocolaterie that has been passed down through three generations over more than 70 years. Visitors can enjoy the Provençal sweets of third-generation owner Pierre Jouvaud, who continues to honor tradition while embracing new challenges. Pierre Jouvaud is a member of Relais Desserts International and consistently produces high-quality sweets.

In Japan, the brand launched in 2003 with a patisserie featuring a salon de thé (tea room) in Hiroo, Minato-ku, Tokyo. It has since expanded to KITTE Nagoya in 2016, Kyoto Gion in 2018, JR Kyoto Isetan in 2018, and Toranomon Hills in 2022, serving numerous customers.

*Note: Relais Desserts International is an association established in France in 1981 by world-class pâtissiers (and chocolatiers) with the primary goal of exchanging ideas for "creating the finest confections."

③Kashiho Imuraya

This wagashi specialty store operated by Imuraya Group opened in 2021 within the VISON resort facility in Taki Town, Mie Prefecture. Its lineup includes "Sasa-manju Hojoka," a sake manju made using the moromi (fermented mash) of junmai ginjo sake brewed at "Fukuwagura," a sake brewery also located within VISON; "Ankoromochi" made by carefully simmering Hokkaido-grown azuki beans; and colorful seasonal wagashi incorporating local ingredients.
