Artist ionmiz. will hold a solo exhibition, "ionmiz. Exhibition The Brilliance of Venus," at Laforet Harajuku's "Love and Madness Market" from June 1 (Monday) to June 30 (Tuesday), 2026. The show includes approximately 10 canvas originals as well as handmade bracelets on display and for sale. Admission is free.

In the pre-dawn sky, the glimmer of Venus traces itself onto a bare back.
The female body grows more ravaged the more it is loved, unleashing a light so intense it turns the stomach.
Dragging this heavy flesh along, she is reborn again and again through the act of blinking.
Even in a life not lived by pity, the illusion returns here time and again.
Comment from ionmiz.
"Up to now, I have been creating works centered on the theme of emotions.
I have expressed negative emotions such as anger, sadness, and hatred — and through that expression, they eventually transform into compassion and circulate as love. I believe that the laws of nature and human emotion are one and the same.
The theme of 'The Brilliance of Venus' is 'women' and 'the body.'
While the female body holds beauty, it can also evoke fear and ugliness in equal or greater measure.
I chose this theme because I wanted to confront what lies at the heart of those objective feelings.
Depicting something visible — rather than something invisible — proved difficult and took considerable effort.
I hope visitors can sense the brilliance of women who have slipped away from the cycle."
About ionmiz.
ionmiz. (Ion Mizumori) was born on June 25, 1993, in Higashiosaka, Osaka. Drawing on childhood experiences of expressing her emotions through pastels during a period of intense change, she creates works centered on the themes of emotion and the spiritual world.
She began her creative practice in earnest in 2020. After concluding 12 years of idol activities in 2025, she is currently active as an artist affiliated with Yoshimoto Kogyo. Her special skill is fortune-telling, and she has also built a following through a tarot column she writes for note.
