Kamogawa Sea World, in Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture, is holding a special guided tour called "Autumn Night Adventure" for nine days starting Saturday, October 3, 2026. The tour lets visitors explore the aquarium after closing time and observe how the animals settle in for the night, all while enjoying the cool, comfortable air of a fall evening.
What Makes the Night Adventure Special
This roughly 60-minute guided tour lets visitors observe how the animals spend their nights. Guests may catch glimpses only visible after dark, such as penguins sleeping upright with surprising balance or animals dozing near the surface of the water. In front of tanks that stay lit even after closing, staff also explain the clever animal-care techniques that make the most of each species' natural behavior.
New: A Special Orca Lecture
As a new addition this time, a roughly 10-minute "Special Orca Lecture" at the Marine Theater has been added to the end of the program. After enjoying the walk-through observation portion, guests can look forward to a special session where keepers share deeper knowledge about orcas directly.
A Nighttime Activity for After Dinner
The tour is a good fit for visitors who want to enjoy a calmer atmosphere than during the day, as well as families looking to nurture their children's curiosity. Parking is free at night, making it an easy nighttime activity to fit into free time after dinner at a nearby hotel.
