Kannonyama Fruit Garden, a fruit orchard and café in Kinokawa City, Wakayama Prefecture, has opened a new dog-friendly facility called "Sky Site" — a fully exclusive dog run on a hillside within the orchard grounds. The facility opened on April 21, 2026.
Exclusive Access, One Group at a Time
Sky Site operates on a fully private basis, with one group per hour. No other visitors or dogs share the space during a reserved session, making it well-suited for dogs that are shy around strangers, have difficulty getting along with other dogs, or need a calm, open environment to relax and run freely.
A Dog Run with Sweeping Views
Sky Site is located about a 5-minute walk up the slope from the main orchard building, positioned on a hilltop overlooking the mountains and the Kinokawa River. The area features swing seating and a shaded rest space under a tent, giving owners a relaxing spot to unwind while their dogs explore.
Seasonal Fruit Parfaits at the On-Site Parlor
After visiting the dog run, guests can stop by the on-site Kannonyama Fruit Parlor for seasonal fruit parfaits featuring locally grown produce such as peaches, figs, mandarin oranges, and strawberries. Dogs are welcome at the terrace seating area.
The fruit parlor does not accept reservations and operates on a first-come, first-served basis on the day.

Requirements and Notes
- Only dogs with current rabies and combination vaccine records are admitted
- Leashes must be kept on outside the fenced area
- Outside food is not permitted (beverages are allowed)
- Dog waste must be taken home by the owner
- A waiver must be signed before entry
- Dogs showing aggressive behavior, excessive barking, or in heat may be refused entry
