Kinokawa Citizens' Festival 2026 to Light Up the Sky With 3,000 Fireworks on August 23

Kinokawa City's summer festival returns this year as Kinokawa Citizens' Festival 2026, organized by the Kinokawa Citizens' Festival Executive Committee.

The festival features one of the largest fireworks displays in Wakayama Prefecture, along with a wide range of stalls run by local businesses and community groups from around the city.

Built through the hard work of the executive committee and its supporting organizations, together with the cooperation and understanding of local residents, the festival is a hand-made event that brings the whole city together.

Thanks to the contributions of many sponsors again this year, 3,000 fireworks will be launched into the midsummer night sky, carrying the dreams and hopes of the community.
