Run Kasamatsu Racecourse in Cosplay! "Kaso no Utage 2026" Takes Off!!!
On February 8th (Sunday), Kasamatsu Racecourse in Kasamatsu Town, Gifu Prefecture hosts "Kaso no Utage (Costume Banquet) 2026."
In its fourth year, the popular "Kaso no Utage" event requires participants to wear horse racing-themed costumes (cosplay), attracting participants from across Japan each year. (※Applications for this year have closed.)

The event allows participants to run the actual horse track in costume, as well as take photos in normally restricted areas such as near the starting gate and in front of the finish line.
This year's event includes a special corner where participants will dance to "Shin Kasamatsu Ondo," a song that gained attention after being featured in a popular anime last year. Can you endure 30 minutes of this song playing on endless repeat!? (Anyone can participate in this corner, regardless of lottery results.)
While applications have closed, visitors can still watch from the grandstand seats for free without prior registration. As this event takes place in the Year of the Horse, excitement is guaranteed to be even higher! Be sure to visit Kasamatsu Town for this unique occasion.
