Kobe Kitano Terrasse Launches "Sky Afternoon Tea" with Panoramic Views and Exclusive Photo Experience from April 17, 2026

Kobe Kitano Terrasse, a restaurant perched atop Venus Bridge (Venus Bridge, Chuo-ku, Kobe City), is launching a new menu called "Sky Afternoon Tea" (天空のアフタヌーンティー) starting Friday, April 17, 2026.

The experience sets itself apart from a typical café menu by combining scenery, cuisine, and an exclusive photo session in a space not usually open to the public — all in one visit. French culinary techniques and aesthetics inform the food, while an extraordinary setting overlooking Kobe's city, harbor, and sea completes the atmosphere.

Sky Afternoon Tea: Concept

Located on the summit of Venus Bridge, Kobe Kitano Terrasse commands sweeping views of Kobe's cityscape, port, and ocean. The new "Sky Afternoon Tea" is designed as a way to spend time that can only be experienced at this venue — encompassing scenery, space, and a photo session alongside the food itself.

Exclusive Photo Time in the Special VIP Room

A standout feature of the experience is access to the Special VIP Room on the second floor of the sky building — a space ordinarily closed to visitors — made available exclusively to afternoon tea guests for commemorative photography.

The room features heavy European antique furniture, gleaming chandeliers, and antique display cabinets showcasing Baccarat and Lalique pieces, offering an atmosphere far removed from everyday life.

A sky-themed blue backdrop (165cm × 75cm) and flower arrangements are also provided to help guests create beautiful, lasting memories.

Guests are guided into the VIP room first to enjoy the photo session, then proceed to the first floor for their meal.

Photo time: 15 minutes of free-form shooting per reservation slot. Photography is self-directed by guests.

The "Sky Afternoon Tea" is available in two variations:

Afternoon Tea Set – ¥4,200 (tax & service included)

• 8 seasonal sweets
• 2 scone varieties (natural and tea-flavored) with 3 accompaniments: strawberry confit and kinako paste (from "The World's Best Breakfast"), plus clotted yogurt espuma
• Vegetable open-faced sandwich and croque-monsieur
• Choice of 5 teas / coffee / café au lait (unlimited refills)

Premium Afternoon Tea Set – ¥8,200 (tax & service included)

• All of the above, plus:
• Vegetable open-faced sandwich, prosciutto open-faced sandwich, and croque-monsieur
• Fresh salad with choice of two sauces (espelette pepper and miso mayo, or aioli sauce)
• Choice of seafood cioppino-style (tomato-braised seafood) or boeuf bourguignon (wine-braised beef)

The experience invites guests to step away from the bustle of the city and enjoy an unhurried afternoon — tasting, taking in the views, and capturing memories to take home.
