Kyukamura Ibusuki, a resort hotel set within Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park in Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture (General Manager: 假屋 和郎), begins serving a seasonal specialty, the Ise Ebi (Japanese spiny lobster) Course, from Tuesday, September 1 — timed with the city's Ibusuki Autumn Gourmet Festival, which opens the same day.

This year, the hotel is also introducing an a la carte dish, Ise Ebi Tempura and Ise Ebi Miso Soup (¥4,000, tax included), giving guests another way to enjoy the season's Ise Ebi alongside the specialty course.

Ibusuki Autumn Gourmet Festival

Autumn in Ibusuki brings an abundance of seasonal ingredients, Ise Ebi among them, making it a season to fully savor the city's food culture. The Ibusuki Autumn Gourmet Festival brings together local accommodations and restaurants to showcase the region's food and tourism appeal through its autumn flavors.

As a participating facility, Kyukamura Ibusuki joins in with its seasonal Ise Ebi Course, along with the a la carte Ise Ebi Tempura and Ise Ebi Miso Soup, sharing in the autumn food culture of Ibusuki together with the wider community.

Seasonal Ise Ebi Course

A season-limited specialty built around Ise Ebi, often called the king of autumn flavors.

The course lets guests savor Ise Ebi prepared in a variety of styles — served live as sashimi, steamed in a bamboo steamer, and fried as tempura, finished with a miso soup made afterward. The main course is served alongside a half buffet.
