Ehime Kodomo no Shiro in Matsuyama will host the illumination event "LIGHT PARKS® spotlighted by FeStA LuCe" from Saturday, November 14, 2026 to Sunday, January 31, 2027. The event is organized by the Festa Luce in Ehime Kodomo no Shiro Executive Committee.
This year's theme is "オトナメク、ナイトジャーニー" (Otonameku, Night Journey). In addition to illuminations that make use of the mountain terrain, the event features light activities and a laser show over the lake and starry sky, offering light experiences that visitors can take part in as well as look at.
A satellite venue will also be set up at Matsuyama City Station Plaza, which was renewed on September 30, so illuminations can be enjoyed in the city center as well.
LIGHT PARKS® Event Details

- Venue: Ehime Kodomo no Shiro (108-1 Nishinocho Otsu, Matsuyama)
- Admission: Advance tickets: adults ¥1,300, children ¥600. Same-day tickets: adults ¥1,500, children ¥800.
Advance tickets are sold exclusively through the Mikyan app (みきゃんアプリ). Parking and activities are charged separately. Holders of a disability certificate are admitted free of charge in principle, and one accompanying adult is also admitted free.

Highlights

Matsuyama City Station Plaza Satellite Venue
A satellite venue co-hosted by Matsuyama City will light up at Matsuyama City Station Plaza, so that illuminations can be enjoyed in the city center as well. Lighting begins on November 8, before the main venue opens.

No lighting ceremony will be held at Matsuyama City Station Plaza.

Opening Day Lighting Ceremony
On the opening day, Saturday, November 14, a lighting ceremony will be held with an opening performance and a countdown involving children from 慶応幼稚園 (Keio Kindergarten) and visitors. At the signal, the whole venue will light up at once.

- Program: Opening performance, children from 慶応幼稚園, greeting from the executive committee, lighting ceremony (countdown)
The ceremony will go ahead in light rain and will be canceled in severe weather.
Notes for Visitors
- Heavy congestion is expected on the surrounding roads and in the parking lots on opening day, so please allow plenty of time.
- The entrance and exit is the plaza in front of Aiai Jidokan (あいあい児童館). Visitors who entered the park during the daytime must leave once and re-enter after going through the procedure at the entrance.
- Entry and exit from the Tobe-side parking lot is not possible. Please use the Matsuyama-side parking lot.
