Tokyo-based flower shop Lorans (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) began selling its Mother's Day floral gift collection on April 15, 2026. The lineup includes fresh flower bouquets, dried flower box arrangements, and fresh flower box arrangements — available through the online shop and three stores in Tokyo.

① Up to 30 People Work Together on Each Bouquet
Lorans employs over 100 staff members who face disabilities or serious illnesses — roughly 70% of its 140-person workforce. Where a typical florist handles the process from order to dispatch in about three steps, Lorans divides the work into 10 stages, including flower pretreatment, arrangement, wrapping, and transport. By connecting each person's individual capabilities and passing the work along like a baton, each bouquet is brought to completion. Up to 30 people may be involved in crafting a single flower arrangement.
To support staff with disabilities in working stably over the long term, Lorans has a dedicated "Human Support Team." Two managers serve distinct roles — one handling work-related matters and the other focusing on health and wellbeing — so staff can raise concerns without worrying that disclosing a health issue might affect their workload.
② Giving Flowers a Second Life with Loss Flower Arrangements
The dried flower products use "loss flowers" (ロスフラワー®) — blooms that are discarded despite being in full bloom, either because they don't meet commercial size or shape standards, are left unsold at markets or shops, or served a brief decorative role at weddings and events. Lorans collects these flowers, carefully dries them, and transforms them into dried floral arrangements with a fresh kind of beauty.

The 2026 Mother's Day collection is styled with greens evoking a sense of vitality, alongside flowers in elegant, muted tones.

Each bouquet is wrapped in one of Lorans' eight wrapping paper designs, each expressing one of the brand's core values. The outer side features the brand's Warm Gray color alongside the slogan "Let everyone bloom," while the inside carries a different meaningful word for each design type. Mother's Day bouquets come wrapped in the paper inscribed with "Saki" (咲) — "Await the bloom. Enjoy every change until it blooms. Even a searching appearance is beautiful."
2. Dried Flower BOX Arrangement (3 colors, 2 sizes)
This product involves the greatest number of staff across the entire lineup, with many people contributing from the parts-making stage onward.
