From June 29 to September 23, 2026, Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo is presenting a premium afternoon tea in collaboration with French silversmith Christofle. Available in limited quantities at the hotel's Oriental Lounge, the experience features Christofle's new "Malmaison Riviera" collection and draws inspiration from the bright, glamorous atmosphere of the South of France.
Guests seated at guaranteed window-side tables can take in views over Nihonbashi while enjoying the feel of a French Riviera resort right in the heart of Tokyo.

Christofle, founded in Paris in 1830, is a French maison celebrated internationally for its mastery of silverware and its refined collections. For nearly two centuries, the brand has collaborated with noted artists, designers, and luxury houses around the world, continually evolving while honoring its heritage. This tradition of craftsmanship and commitment to the art of living aligns closely with the hospitality philosophy of Mandarin Oriental.

Executive Pastry Chef Fabian Martin has created the afternoon tea menu with both the "Malmaison Riviera" collection and the sun-drenched lifestyle of the French Riviera in mind. French culinary aesthetics are woven together with Japanese seasonal ingredients—sweets and savories highlighting the bright flavors of mango, lemon, and other citrus fruits are presented on Christofle tableware. The experience also includes a free flow of more than 20 teas and coffees selected by a tea sommelier, as well as an exclusive summer mocktail available only with this afternoon tea.

General Manager David Collas commented on the collaboration: "Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo and Christofle share a commitment to cherishing craftsmanship and tradition, and to delivering extraordinary moments for our guests. Through this collaboration, we are delighted to bring together the French art of living with the spirit of Tokyo, offering a refined and uplifting summer experience."
In addition to this afternoon tea, Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo has also prepared seasonal stay packages for the summer featuring cultural, culinary, and wellness experiences in the Nihonbashi area.
