TEA AND BAR, the café and bar on the second floor of THE THOUSAND KYOTO hotel near JR Kyoto Station, will be serving "THE PEACH SEASON Parfait Afternoon Tea" from July 17 (Friday) to August 23 (Sunday), 2026.
This afternoon tea is the second installment of the "THE FRUITS SEASON Parfait Afternoon Tea" series, which runs through autumn with a different seasonal fruit as the theme each time. The theme for this round is fresh, juicy peach.
Welcome Drink and Welcome Parfait
Guests are greeted with a duo that captures the idea of both "drinking peach" and "eating peach."
Fuzzy Citrus
The welcome drink "Fuzzy Citrus" is a non-alcoholic cocktail that blends fresh peach sweetness with a touch of citrus, creating a cute gradient reminiscent of a ripe peach.

Peach Parfait
The welcome parfait, "Peach Parfait," layers raspberry sauce, refreshing peach jelly, crunchy cookies, and light yogurt cream. Fresh peach and house-made red-flesh peach ice cream are layered on top, finished with delicate spun sugar that adds a glittering, translucent effect.


Tea Stand Sweets
The tea stand features six peach-themed sweets, each highlighting the fruit in a different way.

Peach Shortcake — A classic shortcake where moist sponge and quality fresh cream bring out the delicate sweetness of peach.

Peach Éclair — A light choux pastry filled with fresh peach cream and decorated with vibrant pink marble chocolate.

Peach Verrine — Two layers of juicy peach jelly, topped with peach flesh and gold leaf for an elegant shimmer.

Peach Tart — A buttery tart shell filled with layers of peach ganache, cream, and jelly that bring out a rich, concentrated peach flavor.

Peach Mousse — An adorable mousse shaped like a peach, hiding a layer of sweet-tart red-flesh peach jelly inside, and topped with a matcha sablé leaf.

Peach Basket — Peach compote arranged in a charming basket presentation, adding a cheerful touch to the table.

Peach Fresh Scone
The "Peach Fresh Scone" is a soft, moist scone with peach worked into the dough, sandwiching refreshing yogurt lemon cream and generously cut fresh peach. The gentle sweetness of the scone, the tangy cream, and the juicy peach create a novel take on the classic scone sandwich.

The savory selection rounds out the spread with summer-inspired bites:

Running from summer through autumn 2026, "THE FRUITS SEASON Parfait Afternoon Tea" features a different seasonal fruit each time across four sessions:
- Melon: May 29 (Friday) – July 12 (Sunday)
- Peach: July 17 (Friday) – August 23 (Sunday)
- Shine Muscat: August 28 (Friday) – October 12 (Monday, national holiday)
- Apple & Pear: October 16 (Friday) – November 23 (Monday, national holiday)

Chef's Special Sweets Stamp Campaign
Guests who visit any of the four afternoon teas can collect stamps via THE THOUSAND KYOTO's official LINE account Shop Card — one stamp per visit. Those who collect all four stamps will receive a complimentary special sweet created by TEA AND BAR's pastry chef.

- Stamp collection period: May 29, 2026 (Friday) – November 23, 2026 (Monday, national holiday)
- Redemption period: January 4, 2027 (Monday) – February 28, 2027 (Sunday) (reservation required 2 days in advance)
Only one stamp is awarded per day. The benefit is limited to one use per account and is available for dine-in only. A separate drink order (paid) is required to redeem. Please inform staff of any allergies at the time of booking.
About the Pastry Chef
The sweets are crafted by Yasuhiro Kunitomo, pastry chef at THE THOUSAND KYOTO since 2025. Born in Kanagawa in 1993, he trained at renowned hotels in Kanagawa and Tokyo for 10 years and has won numerous awards at confectionery competitions, specializing in sugar and chocolate sculpture.
