About Mitsui Fudosan Group Sustainability
The Mitsui Fudosan Group, based on the "&" philosophy of "creating new value through coexistence, symbiosis, and co-creation, and continuing to challenge for this purpose," regards "creating social value" and "creating economic value" as two wheels of a cart, believing that creating social value leads to creating economic value, which in turn enables the creation of even greater social value.
Upon establishing the new Group Management Philosophy in April 2024, the group identified six "GROUP MATERIALITY (key issues to focus on)": "1. Contributing to Industrial Competitiveness," "2. Symbiosis with the Environment," "3. Health and Vitality," "4. Safety and Security," "5. Diversity & Inclusion," and "6. Compliance and Governance." The group contributes to sustainability by addressing these materiality issues through its core business.
In April 2025, the group established "& EARTH for Nature," a declaration of symbiosis with the environment in urban development, defining "environment" as the integration of nature, people, and communities, promoting urban development that expands a rich "environment" and connects it to future generations. The declaration defines five priority issues: "Protecting and Nurturing Greenery," "Utilizing Water's Appeal," "Enriching Ecosystems," "Connecting Regional Aspirations," and "Circulating Natural Resources." This release's initiatives contribute to one of the priority issues in "& EARTH for Nature."
