Brasserie Monochrome, a beloved dining destination in Osaka's Tennoji area since 2000, is set to reopen on March 1st, 2026, following an extensive renovation. The restaurant, operated by Balnibarbi Co., Ltd., will unveil a refreshed space that expands to 121 seats—one of the largest dining venues in the Tennoji area—while introducing a new private floor and seasonal spring menu.

Refreshed Space Designed for Every Occasion
Originally created by transforming a former bicycle parking facility, the restaurant maintains its signature openness with high ceilings and expansive glass windows. The renovation preserves the beloved atmosphere while updating the space to better serve diverse dining needs.

Main Dining
The main floor features soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass windows offering views of passing JR trains. This spacious area accommodates both seated dinners and standing receptions, making it suitable for gatherings of all sizes. The train views add a dynamic element to the dining experience.

Private Floor
A newly added private floor can accommodate up to 45 guests. This exclusive space includes a dedicated bar counter and is ideal for business meetings, private celebrations, or intimate gatherings requiring a more secluded setting.

Spring Menu Featuring Seasonal Ingredients
The restaurant will debut a new spring menu on reopening day, featuring dishes that highlight seasonal ingredients alongside revived classics from the restaurant's early years.

Sakura Shrimp Fried Shrimp (¥880)
Plump shrimp coated in batter mixed with fragrant sakura shrimp. Each bite reveals layers of umami with a crispy texture.
Clams, Bottarga, and Snap Peas in Light Cream (¥1,730)
Fresh clams and snap peas enhanced with bottarga (dried mullet roe), finished in a light spring cream sauce. This colorful pasta celebrates the season's bounty.

Chocolat Monochrome [Revived Classic] (¥880)
A signature dessert from the restaurant's opening returns by popular demand. This two-layer creation features bain-marie-baked chocolate pudding topped with gâteau chocolat, delivering rich chocolate indulgence that has delighted guests for 26 years.
