Ohayo Dairy's "Jersey Milk Bar," a milk ice cream made with Jersey cow milk, is set to receive a packaging redesign starting in spring 2026. The transition to the new package will roll out gradually nationwide.
Jersey cows are particularly rare in Japan, accounting for only about 0.8% of all dairy cattle. Their milk is known for being richer and more full-bodied than that from Holstein cows, the most common dairy breed. Ohayo Dairy sources its raw milk from Jersey cows raised in Hiruzen Highland (Okayama Prefecture) and Aso Oguni (Kumamoto Prefecture), two of Japan's leading Jersey cattle farming regions, to bring out the natural depth of flavor in its ice cream lineup.
What Makes the Jersey Milk Bar Stand Out
Rich milk flavor from Jersey cow raw milk
Jersey cow milk has a naturally denser, more flavorful character compared to Holstein milk. The Jersey Milk Bar is crafted to highlight that richness, delivering a concentrated, natural milk taste in every bite.
A classic flavor backed by growing demand
Milk-flavored ice cream has long been a beloved staple. In recent years, there has been increased consumer interest in richer, more robust milk ice creams that genuinely convey the taste of dairy. The Jersey Milk Bar draws on the inherent quality of Jersey cow milk to meet that demand.
Updated packaging to match the Jersey Milk Soft series
From spring 2026, the Jersey Milk Bar is transitioning to a new look that pairs with the long-selling "Jersey Milk Soft" product. The redesigned package adopts a refined navy and milk-white color scheme, giving it an elegant, premium feel.
