Oiso Prince Hotel (546 Kokufu-Hongo, Oiso-machi, Naka-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture) is holding a one-night-only autumn dinner event, "Harvest Moon Special Dinner ‐月の饗宴‐," on September 27, 2026 (Sunday), inviting guests to savor a fantastical moonlit evening with all five senses.
Since ancient times, the full moon has been cherished as a symbol of abundance and harvest. The autumn full moon in particular is known as the "Harvest Moon," celebrated as a symbol of the harvest season.
For this event, Yasuo Yamada, who serves as culinary advisor for the Prince Hotels' Hakone, Oiso, and Kamakura properties, has built a special course around the theme of the "Harvest Moon," incorporating autumn's seasonal ingredients, seafood from the Shonan coast and Sagami Bay, and the rich flavors of fermentation. Every dish is designed to evoke the imagery of the moon and autumn, from plating and colors inspired by the moon to the aromas of each ingredient and the deep flavors created by sauces and fermented foods. Rooted in French cuisine but drawing on ingredients and techniques from across Japan, the course has been created exclusively for this one special night.
The dinner also includes free-flowing drinks, from wine to non-alcoholic cocktails paired with the food.
Guests can gaze up at the moon floating in the autumn night sky while enjoying a special moment with someone dear to them, alongside dishes that can only be tasted here.
