OMO5 Tokyo Gotanda by Hoshino Resorts is hosting a summer rooftop evening event from July 1 to September 30, 2026. Titled "Manchil☆Gotanda Night Club – Sky Garden Summer Cooling" (満チル☆五反田ナイト俱楽部 ~ 天空の夏涼み ~), the event takes place in the hotel's sky garden 60 meters above ground and features summer-limited menus including ice cream and beer, along with a nightly communal toast led by staff using a wearable beer server.
Background
In the summer of 2025, Tokyo recorded its longest and most frequent stretch of extremely hot days. With 2026 forecast to bring another scorching summer, more people are expected to limit outdoor activities due to the heat. The event was created to offer hotel guests a cool, refreshing way to spend summer evenings. It is held as the summer-limited edition of "Manchil☆Gotanda Night Club," an ongoing evening event at the hotel celebrating the best of Gotanda's dining and nightlife.
Feature 1: A Water Balloon-Themed Sky Garden 60 Meters Above Ground

The sky garden, surrounded by water features and greenery at 60 meters above ground, will be decorated with a water balloon theme inspired by the classic summer festival staple. Water balloon objects include both traditional designs and neon-inspired designs drawn from Gotanda's lively nighttime restaurant scene. Arranged around the garden's water features, the decorations create a dreamlike atmosphere. Guests can enjoy beer and ice cream in the evening breeze, or try their hand at yo-yo balloon fishing.
Feature 2: Craft Beer with Ice Cream and Gotanda Gourmet Menus

The event features a lineup of exclusive menus drawing on the flavors of Gotanda's renowned restaurants. The standout item is the "Water Balloon Float," an adult summer dessert pairing craft beer with ice cream. Specifically, it combines "Peach Haze," a limited-edition peach-infused craft beer (happoshu/sparkling brew) produced by Far Yeast Brewing, which has a flagship store in Gotanda, with a "Mango Orange Sorbet" from LES CACAOS – a patisserie that has been consecutively selected as one of Tabelog's Top 100 Sweets Shops in Tokyo. The menu also includes several varieties of beer and ice cream, plus cold noodles topped with fried chicken from specialist poultry restaurant Shinanoya – a light option suitable as an after-dinner treat.
Feature 3: Gotanda Kanpai Time – A Communal Toast with Staff-Poured Beer

Every night at 9:00 PM, all guests in the OMO Base are invited to join "Gotanda Kanpai Time" – a collective toast. During the event period, staff wearing water balloon-shaped beer servers pour complimentary beer for everyone. Guests can raise a glass, share a toast, and end the day on a high note.
