PES Releases New EP "PES Part III" Featuring New Track "So So" Ahead of 2026 Tour

PES, known for reinventing his sound through a string of collaborations, has released a new EP: "PES Part III," out Monday, July 6.

About the EP

The five-track collection pairs four sketch-style songs PES had been writing since 2024 with "So So," a track newly recorded for his 2026 tour. The EP is packaged with live performance in mind, built to capture the feeling of being at one of his shows.

PES wrote and composed every song on the release himself. The collection moves through clumsy crushes, late-night indulgence, and the release of a weekend, set to catchy rhymes aimed at adults getting through everyday life in 2026.

The standout track "夜風" is a detox-style song about the comfort of letting go and surrendering to the music. The fifth track, "てな訳で," brings in guest artist ratiff and stands out as a hip-hop number built around striking lyrics.

About PES

PES

PES made his major-label debut in 2001 as an MC with RIP SLYME, going on to set records as part of Japan's first hip-hop group to play Nippon Budokan, tour overseas, and headline an outdoor show for 50,000 people. He began his solo career in earnest in 2012, developing a free-flowing musical style rooted in hip-hop, built on a soft flow and richly expressive lyrics. His words and grooves have connected with listeners well beyond music, as he continues to explore art, plants, and surf culture as part of his own worldview.
