Recaldent Launches New Blood Orange Flavor Gum Nationwide on March 16

A new blood orange flavor is joining the Recaldent gum lineup. Mondelez Japan is set to release "Recaldent Blood Orange" nationwide at retail stores starting Monday, March 16, 2026.

A Popular Fruit Flavor Makes Its Recaldent Debut

Blood orange, a variety of orange that consistently ranks highly in fruit popularity surveys*¹, is making its first appearance in the Recaldent brand lineup. The fruit has gained traction across various food and beverage categories, and its spring season peak timing makes it a fitting choice for this launch.

Known for its vivid red flesh, blood orange offers a refreshing tartness balanced with a mild sweetness — a combination that appeals to a wide range of ages, from children to adults. The new flavor was developed with the hope of introducing more people to the Recaldent brand while letting them enjoy a fruity taste and care for their teeth at the same time.

Package Design That Reflects the Flavor

The packaging retains Recaldent's signature blue brand color while incorporating a gradient that evokes the vivid hue characteristic of blood orange. The gum is available in two formats: a stick type designed for easy carrying on the go, and a bottle type suited for keeping at home or at the office.

CPP-ACP and Xylitol for Dental Care

"Recaldent Blood Orange" contains two key ingredients found across the Recaldent product range: the milk-derived compound "CPP-ACP" and xylitol. CPP-ACP is a complex of CPP (casein phosphopeptide), derived from milk protein, and amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP). It was developed through years of research by Professor Eric Reynolds of the University of Melbourne's dental faculty.
