Tokyo Prince Hotel will offer a "Retro Modern Afternoon Tea" for a limited time from March 7, 2026 (Saturday) to May 10, 2026 (Sunday) at Tea Salon Pikake.
Enjoy retro and adorable menu items in the spring sunlight streaming through the large windows of Tea Salon Pikake, creating a nostalgic atmosphere. The year 2026 marks the 100th anniversary since the start of the Showa era. Having opened in 1964 and run through the Showa period, the hotel's pastry chefs have elaborately arranged sweets once popular in Showa-era cafes with a modern twist.

The first tier of the afternoon tea stand features a jelly with nata de coco modeled after cream soda, a classic cafe drink. Even the straw is edible, making this a visually delightful treat. The swan cream puff, filled generously with custard cream, is another beloved retro menu classic.
The second tier presents the adorable ponpoko tanuki cake, a butter cream cake with a charming appearance that evokes nostalgia.
The third tier offers fluffy egg sandwiches and two types of mini quiches.
This retro-cute afternoon tea offers a time-slip experience during the spring season.
