Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto (located in Shiokoji, East Horikawa Street, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto, General Manager Tomoyuki Fujii) will offer a special Valentine's Day course "La Saint-Valentin" at French Dining Top of Kyoto from February 9 (Monday) to February 14 (Saturday), 2026, for six days only.

Appetizer: Yellowtail and scallop confit with citrus aroma

At French Dining Top of Kyoto, Japan's only rotating French restaurant with panoramic views, guests can enjoy the special Valentine's Day course "La Saint-Valentin" alongside the gently revolving scenery of Kyoto.

The appetizer, "Yellowtail and Scallop Confit with Citrus Aroma," is adorned with hearts and presented like a gift, creating a charming and delightful dish. The rich flavors of yellowtail and scallop blend with the refreshing citrus notes in this elegant hors d'oeuvre. The fish course features a Kyoto interpretation of the classic French dish "Duglere," using fish delivered from Miyazu Port in Kyoto, enhanced by the fragrant aroma of butter. The main dish, "Poêlé of Kuroge Wagyu," showcases carefully seared Japanese black beef with its juicy umami flavors harmonizing beautifully with the deep, complex sauce.

For dessert, an essential element of Valentine's Day, the restaurant presents "Chocolate Ice Milk Profiteroles," featuring espuma infused with the sweet, mellow aromas of strawberry and tonka bean. The lingering sweetness fills the mouth, gently embracing this special romantic moment.
