New 18-Meter Net-Climbing Attraction "Morimori Noboru", One of Japan's Tallest, Opens at Sagamiko Mori Mori on August 1

About a 50-minute drive from central Tokyo, the adventure resort Sagamiko Mori Mori (Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture), set among lush forest, is opening a new net-climbing attraction called "Morimori Noboru" on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Built into the structure of the resort's elevator tower, it is billed as one of the largest attractions of its kind in Japan.*

Morimori Noboru is a high-altitude net-climbing course newly installed on the side of the 18-meter "elevator tower" (roughly the height of a six-story building) that connects the parking lot to the park entrance. Nets stretched across towering steel framework create a striking new view, making use of the existing elevator tower structure in a way not seen before.

Visitors wear a full-body safety harness and climb a vertical net under their own strength, a thrilling activity that calls for full-body strength and persistence to reach the top. Gusts of wind and the movement of other climbers add to the tension. Of the five lanes, two are equipped with a "time attack" feature: times are displayed instantly on an electronic scoreboard, with daily rankings announced, adding to the challenge. Climbers are clearly visible from below, so cheers and applause from onlookers add to the excitement.

Morimori Noboru Opening Event – August 1 (Saturday)

As part of a program for TOKYO MX (Tokyo area, terrestrial channel 9), an opening event will welcome MORRIE and SHOOT of the popular DIY dance-and-vocal group BUDDiiS, known together as "Morrie Shoot," as guests. The two will be the first to try Morimori Noboru and share their impressions. The event is open to spectators, and visitors are welcome to come cheer them on.
