Sapporo Prince Hotel (Minami 2-jo Nishi 11-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo; Deputy General Manager: 大久保 克彦) will hold a one-day "天空工芸アトリエ" on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

The venue is the "Sky Room" on the 28th floor, which overlooks the Sapporo cityscape and the surrounding mountains. Guests take part in a wooden clock-making workshop using birch sourced from Hokkaido, experiencing the joy of handmade craft together with the appeal of the region's natural surroundings. The finished clock can be taken home as a one-of-a-kind original piece.

After the workshop, guests are treated to a specially prepared autumn-themed dessert and drink. It's a chance to enjoy both the craft experience and the flavors of the season while looking out over Sapporo's autumn foliage.

Price: ¥7,500 per participant; ¥2,500 per accompanying guest

From the atelier on the 28th floor, guests can take in a sweeping view of Sapporo in October, with the cityscape and surrounding mountains in their autumn colors. Wrapped in a clear sky and the shifting light of autumn, it's a special moment unique to the season — a chance to enjoy Sapporo's autumn from a place close to the sky.

Starting from a cloud-shaped birch clock base, guests freely choose wood pieces and parts to craft an original clock. Depending on the combination, each finished piece looks different, making it a truly one-of-a-kind work. The finished clock can be used as a tabletop or wall clock, and enjoyed as interior decor for a long time to come.

Starting from the same cloud-shaped birch clock base, guests can make a clock with charms attached. Depending on the design and arrangement, it becomes a one-of-a-kind piece. The charms can also be swapped out afterward, letting guests rearrange them to suit the season or their mood.

Special Sweets & Drink: "A Forest Baumkuchen That Marks the Time of Autumn"

After the clock-making workshop, guests are served a specially prepared autumn-themed dessert and drink. The baumkuchen, designed to evoke a birch tree, comes with chocolate sticks shaped like clock hands, letting guests savor the lingering feeling of the experience.

Served alongside an autumn-inspired dish featuring Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc cream with autumn foliage coloring, and a refreshing apple-and-orange drink, it's a chance to enjoy a relaxed autumn moment.
