Sarutahiko Coffee Launches Summer Seasonal Drinks Including Choco Mint Jellatte Starting June 23, 2026

Sarutahiko Coffee (headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo; Representative Director: Tomoyuki Otsuka), a specialty coffee shop, is releasing three new seasonal summer drinks starting Tuesday, June 23, 2026: the Choco Mint Jellatte (Jellatte), the Bitter Orange Americano, and the Himawari Blend.

This summer marks the first ever choco mint drink from Sarutahiko Coffee. The Bitter Orange Americano, which ranked No. 1 in sales among the 2025 seasonal lineup, also makes a comeback following an outpouring of requests from customers.

Drink and food pairings are also recommended for the full experience.

Choco Mint Jellatte (Jellatte)

Sarutahiko Coffee's first-ever choco mint drink.

Inspired by the growing popularity of choco mint flavors in ice cream and sweets, this drink aims for a natural taste by relying on herb and mint syrups rather than artificial flavorings. A homemade mint jelly — crafted with mint tea and lemon balm — is paired with a frozen milk-based chocolate cookie base, then topped with whipped cream, chocolate, and mint chocolate flakes. The result is a refreshing yet gently aromatic drink with a smooth, rounded flavor.

It's designed for those who enjoy choco mint but find overly intense versions too strong.

Bitter Orange Americano

The Bitter Orange Americano was the best-selling seasonal drink at Sarutahiko Coffee in 2025, and after numerous requests via in-store comments and social media asking "Will it be back this year?" and "I want to drink it again," it is returning for 2026. The drink combines the refreshing fragrance of blood orange and several types of citrus with a pleasant acidity and sweetness, layered with Sarutahiko Coffee's signature espresso for a satisfying bitter finish in a carbonated format.

Himawari Blend

The Himawari Blend evokes the bold, upright impression of a sunflower with a gentle sweetness. Panama beans provide a smooth, silky base; Kenya adds strength and structure; and Ethiopia contributes a soft, bright flavor to the blend. A touch of Colombian natural-process coffee brings a subtle fermented quality along with tropical notes.

As an iced coffee, the blend takes on fresh impressions of lychee and ruby grapefruit — a fitting choice for the warmer season.

Recommended Pairings

Choco Mint Jellatte × Chocolate Brownie / Salty Chocolate Sablé

Pairing the choco mint drink with chocolate sweets amplifies the chocolate experience. The saltiness of the Salty Chocolate Sablé also brings out the sweetness of the Choco Mint Jellatte.

Bitter Orange Americano × Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich

Like pairing a hot dog with cola, the refreshing carbonation cuts through the juicy, savory richness of the meat, while the citrus's mild acidity and sweetness further draw out the umami of the chicken.
