Two new cup ice creams supervised by SESOKO TABLE by TAKITA, a soft-serve specialty shop on Sesoko Island (瀬底島) in Okinawa, go on sale at Ito-Yokado (イトーヨーカドー) and York (ヨーク) stores nationwide on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The lineup is "Shio Milk" (しおみるく。), made with Okinawa-produced salt, and "Beni-imo Milk" (べにいもみるく。), made with Okinawa-grown beni-imo (紅芋) sweet potato, a popular taste of autumn. The cups were created to bring a flavor that could previously be enjoyed only on the island to people across Japan.
"Shio Milk" (しおみるく。)
"Shio Milk" was inspired by Okinawa's rich salt-making culture. Okinawa-made salt is blended into a milk ice cream base, aiming for a sweet and salty balance that is not too salty, so it stays enjoyable to the very last bite. The cup is topped with crushed, fragrant cookies inspired by chinsuko, a traditional Okinawan confection, so you can enjoy the contrast between the smooth ice cream and the crunchy cookies.
"Beni-imo Milk" (べにいもみるく。)
"Beni-imo Milk" makes generous use of Okinawa-grown beni-imo, with the elegant sweetness and rich flavor of the sweet potato, a good match for autumn. The top is piled with plenty of smooth beni-imo paste, and eating it together with the milk ice cream base brings out the flavor of both.
Both flavors use a base built around "Shio Milk," but the saltiness and milk balance of each base are adjusted individually so the flavor stands out when paired with its topping. Each cup is designed so that a single bite brings back the atmosphere and scenery of Sesoko Island.

Reservations are accepted at 196 stores, including Ito-Yokado and York, and at the Ito-Yokado online store (イトーヨーカドーネット通販).
