Shake Shack, the New York-born burger restaurant known for its "fine casual" dining concept, is opening a new location in Hakata, Fukuoka in late July 2026. Shake Shack Hakata will be located on the first floor of the Nishi-Nihon City Building in the Hakata district, making it the brand's first restaurant in the Kyushu region.
Since arriving in Japan in 2015, Shake Shack has expanded to 18 locations across the country. The Hakata store will be the 19th.
Shake Shack has built a global following with its "fine casual" approach, combining high-quality ingredients with genuine hospitality. The menu features 100% hormone-free Angus beef burgers alongside hot dogs, fries, frozen custard made fresh in-store, shakes, and lemonade. The restaurant also offers an original lineup of craft beers, wine, and other alcoholic beverages to pair with the food.
