Shake Shack, the New York-born "fine casual" burger restaurant, opens Shake Shack Hakata on July 21, 2026 (Tuesday), starting at 12:00 PM. Located on the first floor of the Nishi-Nihon City Building, it marks the brand's first restaurant in the Kyushu region.

About Fukuya
Fukuya was founded in 1948 as a small grocery store in the Nakasu area of Hakata. In January of the following year, founder Toshio Kawahara developed and began Japan's first production and sale of mentaiko, which later became one of Hakata's signature local products.
After its launch, Fukuya continued refining the recipe over more than a decade to perfect its flavor, and its "Aji no Mentaiko" has been loved by customers ever since.
