Tomoyasu Seisakusho, an interior goods and DIY products manufacturer based in Osaka, is giving its Hakata store a complete overhaul. The venue, which has operated as "Tomoyasu Seisakusho to Hamburger" since 2021, will relaunch as Tomoyasu Seisakusho Cafe & Dining, with a soft opening on June 9, 2026 (Tuesday) and a grand opening on June 19, 2026 (Friday).
About the Renovation
Tomoyasu Seisakusho currently runs café businesses at four locations across Japan: Asakusabashi (Tokyo), Abeno and Yao (Osaka), and Hakata (Fukuoka). Each location has its own concept, but all share a common vision—being "a café where you can enjoy interiors"—offering an approachable entry point into the world of interior design and DIY.
The Hakata store opened in June 2021 and has been serving light meals and drinks, primarily at counter seating, for about five years. In response to growing demand for a broader dining experience, the store is being transformed into a full-scale café and dining venue. Both the floor area and seating capacity are more than doubling, and the new format will be available throughout the day, from brunch through dinner.
Highlights of the Renewal
1. A Sophisticated Space Inspired by Interior Design
The redesigned interior features a dark-toned aesthetic, blending exposed concrete with plentiful greenery. The entire space is furnished with Tomoyasu Seisakusho's own products—from furniture and lighting to decorative accessories—creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a showroom where guests can appreciate the décor while dining. The venue will also accommodate private hire for parties and gatherings.
2. Casual Italian Dining
The menu has been significantly revamped to focus on casual Italian cuisine alongside other options. Brunch highlights include house-made sourdough tartines, complemented by weekly lunch plates, pasta, and à la carte dishes. The burgers popular across all Tomoyasu Seisakusho locations remain on the menu, and Hakata-exclusive items will also be available.
3. All-Day Operations
Opening hours have been moved earlier to 10:00 AM, allowing the venue to welcome guests throughout the day—from a brunch stop to a casual lunch, an afternoon coffee, or a relaxed dinner.
