VINYL, the art goods store located inside JR Tokyo Station's GranSta Tokyo concourse, will release the second series of "PACHIMON TOMODACHI!" mascots on April 30, 2026 (Thursday). The series is part of "The TOMODACHI!" — an art toy project by plush artist SIO — and plays on the playful concept of what an "official counterfeit" version of the original works might look like.
About "The TOMODACHI!"
"The TOMODACHI!" is an art toy project built around the concept of "figures with fur." Through a street-snapshot-like perspective, SIO translates everyday fragments and human presence into plush form, continuously expanding the possibilities of plush expression through domestic and international exhibitions and collaborations.

The second series was created around the theme of "what if counterfeit versions of The TOMODACHI! works existed in the world?" Three new designs make up this release.

POP UP Event
To celebrate the release, a POP UP will be held at the VINYL storefront from Saturday, April 25 to Monday, May 11, 2026. The event will feature original goods including new T-shirts, can badges, and clear files in PACHIMON TOMODACHI! designs.

VINYL Store Information
VINYL is an art goods store where visitors can discover items that are "hard to define, yet impossible to ignore," offering encounters that stimulate all five senses. The attached gallery rotates exhibitions every two to three weeks, showcasing solo and group shows from artists both inside and outside Japan. Located within Tokyo Station, the store is open year-round.
Hours:
- Weekdays and Saturdays: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM
- Sundays and the final day of consecutive public holidays: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Note: Store congestion is expected on the POP UP opening day and the mascot sale date. Visitors are asked not to arrive before 7:50 AM. If crowds gather, numbered tickets will be distributed from 7:50 AM. Quantity limits per customer may apply. Any changes to the sales lineup will be announced on VINYL's Instagram and X.
