Sky Lantern Marché to Make Its Debut at Tokorozawa Sakura Town on June 27–28, 2026

The "Sky Lantern Marché" is set to make its first-ever appearance at Tokorozawa Sakura Town in Tokorozawa, Saitama, on June 27 (Sat.) and 28 (Sun.), 2026. Organized by Kadokawa Media House and co-hosted by KADOKAWA, this two-day event brings together food trucks, sweets, and a handmade marché during the day, before transitioning into a fantastical evening experience where 100 LED sky lanterns are released into the night sky.

The venue will also feature a shallow wading pool area, indoor family-friendly workshops, and a dance stage on the Senin Terrace performed by local children.

As the highlight of the evening, participants can write personal wishes and messages on their own original lantern before releasing it into the sky. The gentle glow of the lanterns creates a dreamlike atmosphere, making it a truly one-of-a-kind experience to share with family, friends, or a loved one.

About the Sky Lanterns

The sky lanterns used at the event are LED-based lanterns filled with helium gas. Because no open flame is used, they are safe for all ages. The lanterns are also attached to strings so they can be retrieved after launch, making this an environmentally considerate event.

Sky Lantern Participation Tickets

Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to 100 lanterns per day. Tickets can be purchased via LivePocket.

• Participation fee: ¥4,000 (tax included) per lantern
• Up to 4 people may enter the launch area per lantern
• Open to everyone — families, couples, and groups of friends are all welcome

• Tickets go on sale: May 20, 2026 (Wed.) from 12:00 PM
• Please note: If advance tickets sell out, same-day tickets will not be available.

• 5:00 PM onward: Check-in begins / Lantern decorating at SAKU-Lab (Last check-in: 6:30 PM)
• 7:00 PM onward: Sky lantern launch at the Central Plaza

Daytime Fun: Workshops, Marché, and Food Trucks

[1] Handmade Workshops

Local artists and craftspeople are hosting a variety of workshops the whole family can enjoy.

A local marché centered on Saitama-based vendors will be set up at the Central Plaza.

Popular food trucks serving seasonal dishes, sweets, and photogenic treats will be on-site throughout the day.
