Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Seiunkaku, located in Awara City, Fukui Prefecture, is renewing its glamping area with the introduction of Snow Peak's "JYUBAKO－住箱－" mobile house. The revamped glamping area opens on Saturday, April 4, 2026, with reservations opening on March 2, 2026.
The new stay experience combines the comfort of a premium hot spring inn with the appeal of outdoor living — offering a style that bridges the two in a new way.
Nature, Onsen, and a World-Class Outdoor Brand
The previous tent-style glamping units are being replaced by the JYUBAKO－住箱－, a mobile house co-developed by architect Kengo Kuma and Snow Peak. The units are filled with carefully selected Snow Peak products and combine the warmth of natural wood with high functionality to create a modern, non-everyday space.
All units are fully air-conditioned, making them comfortable for guests who are new to outdoor experiences as well as those who want to enjoy the changing seasons. After indulging in Premium Seiunkaku's buffet dining and hot spring baths, guests can enjoy a stylish glamping experience that feels at one with the surrounding nature.
