To mark the 35th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog — which falls on June 23, 2026 — SEGA is organizing an official fan meeting tour across seven regions in Asia, including Japan. Applications for the Tokyo leg of the tour, scheduled for Sunday, June 21, 2026, are now open.

Event Overview

  • Date: Sunday, June 21, 2026; doors open at 1:00 PM / program runs from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Venue: SEGA Headquarters (Sumitomo Fudosan Osaki Garden Tower, 1-1-1 Nishi-Shinagawa, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo)
  • Admission: Free (advance application required; lottery system)

The event will feature Kazuyuki Hoshino (Sonic Creative Director) and Tomoya Otani (Sonic Series Sound Director) from the Sonic development team. The program includes a talk show format covering the 35-year journey of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, retrospectives on past titles, behind-the-scenes production stories, and a Q&A session where fans can submit questions directly to the development team. A variety of content is planned to let fans and the development team enjoy the occasion together.
