Sanrio Puroland in Tama, Tokyo is hosting a brand-new Tanabata season special event, "Purowish Festival," from June 5 (Friday) to July 7 (Tuesday), 2026. Reimagined from last year's Tanabata programming with a fresh concept, the event delivers a dreamy "wish-core" world bathed in light blue where guests can enjoy wishes, dreams, and a touch of fleeting magic.
The Purowish Festival is a hands-on Tanabata experience centered around the theme of "making wishes." The park's interior is decorated in soft, glittering light blue, inviting visitors to envision what they want to come true right now and lose themselves in a wish-core world.

Hello Kitty Illumination: "Reach the Night Sky! Wishing Star Illumination"
One of the main highlights of the Purowish Festival is a special illumination show featuring Hello Kitty. The Milky Way drapes across the Tree of Wisdom, creating a magical Tanabata moment to share with Hello Kitty.
When guests' wishes reach Hello Kitty's wand, Purovillage lights up in a romantic, enchanting glow. The light spreads gently in time with Hello Kitty's singing, beautifully illuminating Purovillage like a Tanabata night sky.

Star and Milky Way-themed photo spots appear throughout the park. Guests can capture special photos alongside Sanrio characters within a wish-core world, offering a new kind of Tanabata experience.
The 3F Entrance Hall features the "Purowish Festival Photo Spot," where everyone's wishes mingle and a sparkling Tanabata space unfolds. The "Kiki & Lala Twinkling Studio" is also decorated in Tanabata style for the duration of the event, enveloped in gentle light-blue tones. A limited Tanabata-edition receipt photo machine is available inside the space as well.

≒Joy at the Purowish Festival: Projection Mapping and Limited Food
Idol group ≒Joy adds an extra wish-core dimension to the Purowish Festival. The centerpiece is a projection mapping show at "Lady Kitty House," in which members of ≒Joy make voice appearances as guests — an exclusive experience only available here.

A limited-time sweet inspired by ≒Joy's 3rd single "Blue Hawaii Lemon" is also on the menu: the "≒Joy Special Sweets: I've Got It All to Myself? Blue Hawaii Lemon Jelly Parfait." The parfait features Seto Inland Sea lemon jelly and sparkling blue pineapple jelly in a refreshing, translucent dessert well-suited to the shimmering Tanabata atmosphere. Guests who order this item receive an original coaster (4 designs, random) as a novelty gift.
