SPANISH DINING Rico, an authentic Spanish restaurant located in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo, operated by Green House Foods Co., Ltd., will participate in the New Year Taste Festival at Isetan Shinjuku Store Main Building, 1st basement floor Food Collection from January 2 (Fri) to January 6 (Tue), 2026.

Exclusive Menu Items and Popular Desserts for New Year Celebrations
The event features six exclusive menu items available only at Isetan Shinjuku. The highlight is the Premium Paella Plate featuring Kumamoto Prefecture Akaushi beef "Enjuugyu". This special breed offers perfectly balanced umami-rich lean meat and quality fat. The plate includes thick-cut grilled steak and "Fricandó," a Catalan winter specialty where beef is slowly braised for 8 hours in red wine and sherry. The set also includes premium paella with five types of luxurious seafood - crab, shrimp, squid, and mussels - along with tortilla and tapas. These dishes combine Spanish traditional cuisine with premium Japanese ingredients, creating a festive dining experience perfect for celebrating the New Year at home.
Other offerings include Rico's most popular dish, the Barcelona-Style Seafood Paella cooked in rich seafood broth, and the beloved Basque Cheesecake and Chocolate Basque Cheesecake made with cream cheese that has low acidity and a rich, smooth texture. This five-day event brings together exclusive items available only at Isetan Shinjuku alongside Rico's signature popular menu items for an authentic Spanish culinary experience.


About Kumamoto Prefecture Akaushi "Enjuugyu"
Akaushi (Japanese Brown cattle), one of the four wagyu breeds, combines umami-rich lean meat with moderate fat content, making it healthy and easy to eat. Among these, "Enjuugyu" is a special brand of beef raised using unique breeding methods. It features smooth, flavorful fat and maintains its tenderness even after cooling, allowing diners to fully appreciate the natural taste of the meat.

Award-Winning Interior Design Inspired by Spanish Cities
The interior design by Aiyuki Inoue features tiles imported from Spain for floors and walls, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of Spanish streets with stucco finishes and old castle towns.
