SPINGLE Miyajima, a new specialty store for the SPINGLE sneaker brand from Fuchu, Hiroshima Prefecture, will open in Miyajima-cho, Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima Prefecture, on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The store is set in a renovated traditional Japanese house (kominka).
Store Concept
The interior takes its inspiration from the landscapes of Hiroshima: Itsukushima Shrine floating in the sea off Miyajima, the rivers that flow through Hiroshima, and the islands of the Seto Inland Sea. By making use of the building's traditional wooden architecture, the space offers a nostalgic atmosphere. Fixtures are arranged with plenty of room to move around, so visitors can enjoy browsing and find a pair that suits them.
Why Miyajima
Miyajima, home to the World Heritage Site Itsukushima Shrine, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Hiroshima Prefecture. According to Hatsukaichi City, visitor numbers to the island reached 4.97 million in 2025, a record high for the second year in a row. With visits from both Japan and overseas recovering and increasing, Spingle Company aims to raise brand awareness and expand sales opportunities in the Miyajima and Hiroshima area.
The president of Spingle Company, 内田貴久, said that Miyajima is a region with the strong brand of a World Heritage Site and a steady stream of visitors. The company plans to create a store welcomed by both tourists and local residents and to contribute to revitalizing the local economy.

Miyajima is surrounded by rich nature and is also known as a famous place for maple leaves (momiji). SPINGLE Miyajima will sell the SP-442MJ, an exclusive model based on the popular SP-442 and hand-painted by an artist with Miyajima maple leaves. The design captures the changing beauty of maple leaves just beginning to turn red in autumn, with the distinctive charm of brush painting.
