Starbucks® COFFEE OF THE DAY, the bottled coffee series developed jointly by Starbucks Corporation and Suntory Beverage & Food Ltd., is set to return in a renewed form on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Both the Black and Café Latte varieties are getting a flavor overhaul, a packaging refresh, and a 30ml volume increase.
Since its launch in 2025, the series has attracted not only dedicated Starbucks fans but also consumers who don't typically reach for bottled coffee — with roughly half of all drinkers falling into the latter category. This relaunch builds on that momentum, aiming for a taste that fits seamlessly into everyday life under the new concept: "Making your day better with a fulfilling taste."
What's New in Each Variety
Black

The Black variety uses coffee beans specially selected for Starbucks RTD (Ready To Drink) products in Japan, roasted to a deeper level to bring out their natural nuttiness and bold body. Espresso aroma has been newly added to the recipe, giving the coffee a more layered fragrance from the first sip. The result is a brew with a fuller, more satisfying finish — all without compromising the clean taste of straight black coffee.
Café Latte

The Café Latte now uses more deeply roasted beans to heighten the coffee's presence in the cup. A richer milk sweetness has been layered in, making for a smooth and satisfying drink from start to finish. Compared to its predecessor, this version delivers a creamier milk character while amplifying the espresso aroma and depth.
Refreshed Packaging

The new packaging places the Starbucks Siren logo front and center, making the brand identity immediately recognizable at a glance. A metallic-finish band paired with a coffee illustration adds a sense of refinement and polish — evoking the classic, sophisticated feel of Starbucks while giving the bottle a premium look on shelf.

With Black

Anko Butter Bread — The sweet-savory combination of sweet red bean paste and butter creates a striking contrast with the bold espresso aroma, resulting in a memorable flavor pairing.
Custard Cream Bread — The mellow sweetness of custard gently rounds out the coffee's bitter edge, while the Black's rich aroma comes to the forefront.
With Café Latte

Menchi Katsu Sandwich — The savory depth of the minced meat cutlet is balanced by the smooth latte, which refreshes the palate between bites for a clean, pleasant combination.
Chocolate Cream Bread — The creamy milk chocolate sweetness harmonizes with the Café Latte's gentle milky notes, creating a well-rounded, mellow balance.
