The Takamiya Garden Teahouse (高宮庭園茶寮, Takamiya Teien Saryo), located in Minami Ward, Fukuoka City, will hold its popular annual summer event, "夏の灯 – Natsu no Hi," from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 30, 2026. Guests can enjoy a special dinner course overlooking a garden quietly lit by bamboo lanterns, as well as a wind-chime corridor designed to bring a sense of cool summer relief.
Seasonal Event: Natsu no Hi
Special Dinner Course
A special dinner course prepared exclusively for Natsu no Hi features seasonal fish and summer vegetables. The menu is designed to refresh and restore, and after dinner, guests can enjoy kakigori (shaved ice) on the veranda while taking in the garden scenery.

First Course: Kelp-Cured Sea Bream with Kaga Cucumber and Shiso Jelly
Sea bream cured in kelp to concentrate its umami, paired with Kaga cucumber for texture and a lotus-leaf presentation for a cooling touch. Served with a refreshing shiso-infused jelly.

Fish Course: Amberjack with Sweet Shrimp and Olive Oil
Summer amberjack (kampachi) — crispy skin, tender flesh — served alongside roasted summer vegetables and a broth made from sweet shrimp, finished with olive oil for a Western-inspired flavor.

Dessert: Kakigori with Matcha, Black Sesame, and Azuki
Lightly textured shaved ice topped with fragrant matcha and azuki beans, with a hint of toasty black sesame for a special finishing touch.
Additional courses include:
- Second Course: Simmered conger eel with Sado-hara eggplant, pickled ginger in sweet vinegar, and black mirin
- Third Course: Creamed corn soup with black rice
- Meat Course: Kyushu beef loin with yuzu pepper and Japonaise sauce
- Closing: Goto udon with plum paste and citrus
