Takino Autumn Sky Concert

Cosmos Now About 70% in Bloom

Cosmos, the flower synonymous with autumn, is now about 70% in bloom and is expected to reach its peak within the week.
Roughly 700,000 cosmos flowers set against the autumn sky turn the hillside a sea of pink.
During the Cosmos Festa, a range of autumn-only programs are also held, including craft experiences, food and music, and outdoor activities.

About Takino Suzuran Hillside National Government Park
Hokkaido's only national government park, Takino Suzuran Hillside National Government Park sits about a 30-minute drive from central Sapporo, yet offers vast flower fields that change with the seasons, a powerful waterfall and clear mountain stream, and forest walks surrounded by deep greenery — a natural retreat in one park. Spring brings tulips, cherry blossoms, and other wildflowers; summer brings sunflowers and blue flowers set against the sky; and in autumn, kochia and fall foliage turn the hillside a deep red. Winter brings a fantastical snow landscape, with one of Japan's largest 200-meter tube sled courses among the seasonal activities unique to Takino.
