Mercure Kyoto Miyazu Resort & Spa, an all-inclusive resort hotel in Miyazu, Kyoto Prefecture, where guests can see Amanohashidate, one of Japan's Three Scenic Views, from inside the building, will serve a "special lunch course" aboard the restaurant train "Tango Kuromatsu" on the Kyoto Tango Railway (Tantetsu), which is operated by WILLER TRAINS Co., Ltd. The special collaboration runs for three days only, and reservations opened on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from around 11:00 AM.
This is the first collaboration between the two, born from a shared wish to "liven up Tango, which is rich in natural beauty and food, together." The special course makes generous use of carefully selected Tango ingredients and is enjoyed together with the beautiful scenery outside the train window, a rail journey for savoring the charm of Tango with all five senses.
About the 3-Day-Only Special Lunch Course
The hotel normally serves its meals buffet-style, so a full-fledged course meal is a special experience that cannot be had even inside the hotel and is available only on this train.
The menu includes a Japanese-style risotto made with tender, umami-rich Kyoto beef fillet, as well as Saikyo-grilled Ine yellowtail (Ine buri), a winter delicacy, rare Taiza white whelk, and the local dish "seafood Tango barazushi." The course makes generous use of the bounty of the mountains and sea unique to Tango and northern Kinki.
Guests can enjoy dishes made with local ingredients as the train rocks along and take in the winter scenery spreading outside the window, in the unique space of Tango Kuromatsu.

Mercure Kyoto Miyazu Resort & Spa
The resort hotel sits inside Tango-Amanohashidate-Oeyama Quasi-National Park and overlooks Amanohashidate, one of Japan's Three Scenic Views. Guests can feel the charm of Kyoto's coast through the seasons, from cherry blossoms in spring and swimming in the sea in summer to snowy scenery like an ink-wash painting in winter.
The hotel is certified as a "Welcome Baby Inn" by the Miki House Child-Rearing Research Institute. In summer, guests can use the pool, and from winter to spring, they can pick strawberries at "Royal Strawberry Park," a strawberry farm on the hotel grounds, where the large, sweet "Akihime" variety is grown. This makes the hotel a good fit for three-generation family trips.
The all-inclusive rate covers the breakfast and dinner buffets, which include menus made with local ingredients, as well as alcohol during dinner and at the lounge, so guests can stay without worrying about extra charges.
