The Strings Omotesando's TAVERN by the green to Serve "Triple Premium Mont Blanc Afternoon Tea" This Autumn

The Strings Omotesando (3-6-8 Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo; General Manager: Hiroyuki Miyata) is serving a new afternoon tea centered on autumn's sweet potato, chestnut, and pumpkin flavors, alongside three luxurious kinds of Mont Blanc, at its 2nd-floor restaurant, TAVERN by the green, from Thursday, October 1 through Tuesday, November 17, 2026. Called the "Triple Premium Mont Blanc Afternoon Tea," the set brings together amber-hued autumn sweets and savories, served in an elegant New York-style restaurant overlooking Omotesando's zelkova-lined avenue as it turns to autumn color.

With its refined New York sensibility, TAVERN by the green is offering this special afternoon tea packed with autumn flavors, timed to the season when the Omotesando zelkova-lined avenue turns to autumn color.

Amber-Hued Sweets Built Around Sweet Potato, Chestnut, Pumpkin, and Pear

The stand is filled with seven seasonal sweets, each bursting with the tastes and colors of autumn. The three signature Mont Blancs include the "Japanese Chestnut Mont Blanc," a classic, fluffy take made with Japanese chestnut and accented with a pastry base; the "Chestnut and Cassis Baked Mont Blanc," featuring the tangy-sweet texture of cassis and meringue; and the "Sweet Potato Mont Blanc Shortcake," a shortcake topped with rich sweet potato cream and a compote of beni-azuma sweet potato. Rounding out the lineup are a glass dessert layering a beautiful amber hue of pear, Earl Grey jelly, and panna cotta; a glossy, rich caramel mousse tart; a crisp-baked pumpkin scone; and a pear tart decorated with an autumn-leaf motif — a lineup to fully savor the bounty of the season.

Hearty Savories, Soup, and Salad Packed With Autumn Flavor

The savory selection features three items: a croissant sandwich combining smoked duck, dried figs, rich Camembert cheese, and a tangy balsamic sauce; a carrot rapé marinated in umami-rich shoyu-koji; and a vividly colored ricotta cheese and beet bavarois. Rounding out the meal is a chestnut and cauliflower potage and a pear and prosciutto salad that balances sweetness and saltiness — a satisfying course that works well as a full meal.

Premium Optional Menu for an Extra-Indulgent Afternoon Tea

Silk Sweet Potato Stick With Shoyu-Koji Cream Cheese

A luxurious sweet-and-salty accent to enjoy between afternoon tea courses. Sticks of Silk Sweet sweet potato, served in a stylish glass, are meant to be dipped in TAVERN's original shoyu-koji cream cheese — an addictive dish that leaves a lasting impression with the first bite.

Pear Tea Mocktail

A blend of high-quality Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka and rich pear juice from Italy, finished with pear compote and a fragrant cinnamon stick for an elegant touch on the table. Enjoy a sophisticated, adult flavor woven from the depth of spice and fruit.

Guests can also enjoy as much as they like from a full drink menu of 16 items, including tea from the Singapore-founded luxury tea brand TWG Tea and The Strings Omotesando's original blend coffee. A prix-fixe course with a choice of main dish is also available, served with four afternoon tea sweets for dessert.

Enjoy an elegant tea time wrapped in the autumn scenery of Omotesando's zelkova-lined avenue filling the windows.
