From Thursday, November 5 to Friday, December 25, 2026 (51 days), the "Christmas Market in a Picture Book in TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN 2026" (絵本の中のクリスマスマーケット in 東京スカイツリータウン 2026) takes place at Sky Arena on the 4th floor of Tokyo Solamachi. It is the earliest to open among the Christmas markets that the organizer, World Liquor Importers Co., Ltd. On opening day, the giant stollen cutting ceremony, about 4 meters long and well received last year, returns.
Giant Stollen Cutting Ceremony on Opening Day
The ceremony that kicks off this winter's Christmas market is based on a tradition from Dresden, Germany. The ceremony follows the illumination lighting ceremony, so visitors can see the start of the Christmas season in a venue filled with sparkling lights.

Theme: A Christmas Market Inside a Picture Book Again This Year
This is the 11th year of the Christmas market, a winter tradition at TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN. It keeps last year's well-received theme, "Christmas Market in a Picture Book," and creates a space that feels like turning the page of a story.
The venue has 15 European-style huts (wooden cabins). New menu items this year include "Noel's Feast Rice" (ノエルのごちそうライス), "Dessert Pizza," and "Hamburger," and the Christmas dishes are decorated with snowmen, Santa Claus, and reindeer. The venue-exclusive original mugs come in five new designs inspired by the world of Grimms' Fairy Tales. Merchandise has also grown from about 20 items last year to about 40 items.

Highlights of the Venue
1. Giant Stollen About 4 Meters Long
A giant stollen about 4 meters long appears at the market. At the cutting ceremony, which follows the tradition of Dresden, Germany, Santa Claus slices it with a special knife. Visitors can watch and take photos, and the ceremony is a signature event of the Christmas market.

2. 15 European-Style Huts
The timber-framed huts offer mulled wine, hot drinks, freshly made sweets, and hearty dishes such as sausages and chicken, so visitors can enjoy an atmosphere like an authentic market.
3. Many Menu Items Appearing for the First Time
Many items debut this year, including the strawberry and custard dessert pizza, Noel's Feast Rice, the mushroom cheeseburger, and the strawberry baumkuchen.
4. Christmas Arcade
This photogenic passage combines light and snow effects. It stands in the center of the venue, and the space wrapped in illumination is also a popular photo spot.

5. New Mugs and Christmas Goods Inspired by Grimms' Fairy Tales
The original boot-shaped mug, well received last year, is sold only at the Christmas markets held by World Liquor Importers. This year it comes in five new designs inspired by the world of Grimms' Fairy Tales and can be chosen from five colors. Each design suggests a different story, so visitors can take home the time spent at the market as a memory. The merchandise lineup is about 40 items, almost double last year's, which also makes it a good place to look for gifts.

Featured Menu This Year
1. [New] Strawberry Baumkuchen / Noel Rouge Baum (ストロベリーバウムクーヘン/ノエル・ルージュバウム)
Baumkuchen baked in the shop is cut into bite-size pieces and sandwiched with sweet-tart strawberries and marshmallows shaped like Santa Claus and reindeer. The moist texture of the baumkuchen goes well with the acidity of the strawberries, making a dessert that suits Christmas.

What Is a Christmas Market?
The Christmas market is a traditional European Christmas event said to have begun in Germany in 1393. During Advent (in German, the four weeks before Christmas), when people look forward to Christmas, it is a market where visitors shop for Christmas preparations. Called Weihnachtsmarkt (ヴァイナハツ・マルクト) in German, it is held in almost every city and small town in German-speaking regions and has become established as an attraction of the long, cold winter nights in Germany.
Visitor Notes
- The market is held in rainy weather as well. In case of natural disasters, it may be canceled depending on the condition of the facility.
- Electric heaters are placed at several spots in the seating area, and a windbreak area is also provided.
- Pets are not allowed to enter (guide dogs, service dogs, and other assistance dogs are excepted).
- The venue is barrier-free.
- Weekends, public holidays, and the last day are expected to be very crowded, and items may sell out or customers may wait 30 minutes or more to be served.
