Tokyo Midtown in Akasaka, Minato City, Tokyo will hold "MIDTOWN CHRISTMAS 2026" from Thursday, November 26 to Friday, December 25, 2026. This year's concept is "Midwinter Night's Dream." Through illuminations in Midtown Garden and a range of Christmas experiences inside the building, the event aims to make the once-a-year Christmas season a memorable one.
Midtown Garden brings back the bubble-filled illumination that was well received last year. It is joined by a Christmas tree made from a real fir about 8.5 m tall and the "Path of Light" (光の散歩道), a walkway of soft gold lighting.
New this year is "MIDWINTER LOUNGE," where visitors can enjoy champagne, light meals, and sweets surrounded by the illumination. A deck about 1.5 m high offers a view over the illumination, and the lounge also has standing and seated spaces.
From Saturday, December 5, an outdoor ice skating rink created in collaboration with Ralph Lauren also opens at Tokyo Midtown.

Illuminations in Midtown Garden
MIDWINTER LIGHTS
The illumination uses delicate gradations of light and color to depict a mysterious snowy forest at night, a sparkling Christmas cityscape, and an aurora appearing in the clear winter starry sky. A four-minute show linked to an original piece of music runs with bubbles floating softly through the air. This year, the bubble effect runs for a longer period than last year.
Three signature scenes are among the many effects planned.

MIDWINTER LOUNGE
A special lounge where visitors can enjoy the illumination with champagne or an original cocktail in hand makes its debut. The deck, about 1.5 m high, offers a view over the main illumination, "MIDWINTER LIGHTS." The area also has standing and seated spaces where visitors can eat and drink while surrounded by the illumination.
The menu includes potato frites with a choice of three toppings that pair well with champagne, and a parfait with an eye-catching look, along with other special items for winter nights. The lounge is open only this winter.

THE DREAMING TREE
The Christmas tree is a familiar symbol of Tokyo Midtown. Made from a real fir and standing about 8.5 m tall, it glows with gold light. This year's tree theme is "a dreaming tree" (夢みる木), and the changing light depicts a sparkling dream world in a real space.

Path of Light (光の散歩道)
The "Path of Light" is an illumination of about 340,000 bulbs that can be enjoyed throughout the winter season. Soft light leads visitors from the garden entrance of Tokyo Midtown, and the gold light welcomes people as they arrive. The illumination can also be seen from restaurants facing the garden area.

MIDWINTER SANTA STORY: Little Santa's Star Hunt (小さなサンタの星探し)
A large picture book has appeared in front of the Tree Shower (ツリーシャワー) on Galleria 1F. Santas who came out of the book are out looking for stars in various places in the building. Visitors look for the little Santas among the Christmas decorations and visit stamp spots to collect stars, and a postcard is completed. The stamp rally uses overlapping stamps, so visitors can look forward to seeing what design the postcard becomes.

RALPH LAUREN MIDTOWN ICE RINK
"MIDTOWN ICE RINK," a winter tradition at Tokyo Midtown, returns this year from the Christmas season. It is one of the largest outdoor ice rinks in Tokyo, and visitors skate on real ice. This is its 18th year. This year the rink is a collaboration with the global lifestyle brand RALPH LAUREN, and it runs through Tuesday, February 23 (national holiday), covering the whole winter season.
